I am excited to announce that dutch alto player (and one of my best friends) Ben van Gelder’s debut album is officially out! The album was recorded at Sear Sound Recording in New York City at the end of January. Personal includes Ben van Gelder, Peter Schlamb, Aaron Parks, Rick Rosato, Craig Weinrib, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Kyle Wilson. The Ben van Gelder Quintet (featuring myself, Aaron, Craig, and Rick) plans to give CD release performances in both NYC and throughout Europe in the coming year.
